What do you think?

y spare time, I love making bows and ties for my friends and co-workers. Recently I started selling them at a little shop here, and for a while I was having a great time supplying my area with all the bows and ties I wanted to make. Unfortunately the owner of that shop had to close do to health issues, and now I’m left with the desire to continue creating, but no people to appreciate them.
I don’t think they look bad at all, and so I started selling them in an Etsy shop instead…but I don’t like having to make them hugely expensive just to cover the cost of materials, and shipping, and all the fees associated with having an Etsy shop. I’m charging 3-4 times what a bow is worth just to break even.
Then I thought I could sell them on a page on this blog or something, but then I’d feel like I was just advertising my wears every time I visited a friend. I don’t really want to do that. I also don’t want to just give them away, because a few times when I’ve given them away I’ve found them crumpled up in the dirt later (in person here) and that hurts my feelings a lot, because some of these bows take half an hour to make. It’s not just throwing away a “cheap” gift. It’s throwing away my time.
Then I thought, well how silly of me, maybe I’ll just ask you guys what you think I should do? Do I just craft them, save them up, and hope some day I’ll use them? Do I do blog give aways? What do you think?
Right now I’m making bows, head bands (because I finally got my own dog and she’s too short haired for a bow….so there! She will too have them!) and ties. I’ve been thinking about trying my hand at clothing and collars too, but again if I’m just storing up huge bags of bows (and I am, cause I just can’t stop making them.) What’s the point?
Please send me your thoughts. I’d love to know what you guys think I should do with my little dilemma. You ladies (and guys!) Have been the best community I’ve ever blogged in.
