We made our first donation!!

Okay, so we only donated $1. I realize that’s a pathetically small amount, and that it buys almost nothing these days. What’s cool about it isn’t the amount. It’s that we paid for it through our Etsy shop!

When I first started making bows and ties, I thought it’d be cool to make a donation for every purchase someone made. My gift to the community of dog lovers. I sort of envisioned myself frantically keeping up with orders, everyone wanting a tie or a bow, and getting to quit my job (though I probably wouldn’t quit even if I won the lotto. I love my job.) so I could spend all my time coming up with the next fabulous style.

Of course it didn’t work that way. In fact I forgot all about my Etsy shop, it took so long to have any orders. Now I’ve gotten two, 1 for bows and 1 for a tie. Well I got paid for them, and I gave 10% right back to the dog community. Hency why it was only $1.
