And suddenly, everything makes sense. The mood swings, the lethargy, the unwillingness to play…
My little girl, apparently, is pregnant. There is one little puppy in there according to X-rays, and also according to X-rays she should be able to give birth naturally, which isn’t always common with chihuahuas.

We’re keeping the puppy, and that one can be my all-the-way-to-the-grand-championships show dog, assuming his/her legs are good, and the actual birth goes okay. Please keep your fingers crossed for little Leia. We were planning to breed her after showing her and getting her knees OFA’d, but not quite this soon.

I’m excited to have a little puppy in the house, and freaked out too. I wasn’t expecting her to be pregnant, so I haven’t done all my research and read 5 billion books, and all those other things I do when I’m embarking on something new.
